Privacy Policy

Summary
Lazy Panda is a mindful habit tracker with journaling, insights, optional mood and energy logging, AI-powered Panda Coach (chat and planning tools), and weekly summaries. Your habit and journal data are stored primarily on your device. WebLabs Consulting Inc. (“we”, “us”) does not operate a cloud database of your routines or entries.
This policy describes what information the app processes, when it leaves your device, and your choices. Questions: support@weblabsconsulting.org.
Who this applies to
This policy covers the Lazy Panda mobile application (iOS and Android) published by WebLabs Consulting Inc., and our marketing website (for example, store links and this policy). Features differ by platform, but the same privacy principles apply.
Information stored on your device (local-first)
Most information you enter or generate in Lazy Panda stays on your phone or tablet using durable on-device storage (including SQLite-backed key–value storage). We cannot browse or search your device data. Examples include:
- Profile and preferences: display name, appearance (light/dark/system), notification choices, and similar settings.
- Habits: names, icons, schedules or constraints you set, completion dates, XP, mastery levels, and related progress.
- Journal entries and notes tied to habits or days, including optional sentiment or labels where the app supports them.
- Optional mood and energy logs and any “how completion felt” or daily check-in style inputs you save.
- Insights views derived from the above (for example calendars, habit detail, correlations) — computed locally from your stored data.
- Panda Coach: chat messages you send and assistant replies, automation cards you accept or dismiss, weekly planner commitments you save, saved “memories” or similar coach artifacts the app stores for continuity, AI credits wallet balances and counters (including monthly complimentary credits and consumable credit packs), and local logs that help limit abuse of AI features.
- Weekly reports: generated snapshots (such as bento-style summaries) stored after they are created.
- Backups you export: a JSON backup file is created only when you use export; you choose where to keep it.
Information sent to our servers or third parties
Lazy Panda is designed so that ordinary habit tracking does not require uploading your full history to us. Some optional features send limited data over the internet, as follows.
- AI (Google Gemini): When you use Panda Coach chat, automations that call the model, embeddings for memory or similarity features, or other AI actions, the app sends the prompts and contextual snippets the feature needs (for example habit names, recent messages, or journal excerpts referenced in that request). Requests may go directly to Google’s API in development; in production we recommend routing them through a proxy server so API keys are not embedded in the app. Google processes content according to the Google Cloud / Gemini terms and privacy documentation applicable when you use the service. Do not paste secrets or highly sensitive data into Coach.
- Subscriptions and AI credits (RevenueCat): When you purchase or restore Lazy Panda Pro or AI credit packs, Apple or Google processes payment; RevenueCat validates entitlements and purchases with those stores. RevenueCat may receive purchase identifiers, product IDs, app user identifiers they assign, and related transaction metadata — not your habit or journal content. Our Google Play pre-registration reward may use the same Starter consumable product configuration (500 credits) with no user payment required for that reward claim.
- Push notifications: Your device’s operating system delivers reminders you enable. We do not need your habit list on a server to show a local notification.
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your journal or habit text for advertising profiles.
Website
If you visit our marketing site, normal web logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed) may be processed by our hosting or analytics providers according to their policies. The site does not access data inside the Lazy Panda app on your phone.
How we use information
On-device data is used to render the app, compute insights you ask for, run optional AI features you trigger, generate weekly reports, and remember your settings.
Data sent to Gemini is used only to produce the assistant output for that interaction (and related safety or quality processing by Google as described in their terms).
Purchase data is used to unlock Pro features and credit allowances you bought.
Retention and deletion
Data on your device remains until you delete it in the app, erase app storage, or uninstall Lazy Panda. This includes local AI credit wallet state and counters. Exported backups remain until you delete the files.
Content processed by Google for AI is handled under Google’s retention and security practices for the Gemini API. We do not control Google’s servers.
Optional JSON backups can include persisted app state such as settings, AI usage/credits state, and subscription state snapshots. You can clear on-device AI or coach-related storage where the app provides controls (for example coach or memory settings); specifics are shown in-app.
Security
We rely on platform security (iOS and Android) and careful app design. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Protect your device with a passcode and be cautious when storing backup files in shared cloud folders.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data. Because core data is on your device, you can export (Settings → Data & backup), delete items in-app, or uninstall the app to remove local data. To exercise rights related to data a vendor holds (for example purchase history), you may also contact Apple, Google, or Google Cloud as appropriate.

Children
Lazy Panda is intended for users age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information in a way that requires action, contact us at the email above.
International users
If you use Lazy Panda from outside your home country, your information may be processed in the United States or other regions where Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or our hosting providers operate.
Changes
We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. We will post the new date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app or site after changes means you accept the updated policy unless applicable law requires other consent.
